Formula Racing at UC Davis

Each year, we design, manufacture, and compete with a fully electric racecar from scratch. Our team is entirely student run --- all design, fabrication, planning, marketing, outreach, and racing is done by students. In the last in-person season, we placed 4th overall against top universities from around the world and hope to build on this strong performance. Our students leave the team with hands-on engineering experience with communicating, working in groups, and managing time effectively. Many of our alumni go off to make significant impacts in the world with their Formula Racing experiences. Your contributions power the mission of FRUCD: inspiring student engineers, crafting exceptional race cars, and embracing community and environmental values. This year, your generosity will provide support for our club including our current priority of reaching our goal to bring a winning car to competition. We plan to re-make our chassis and manufacture new uprights for our suspension.
