Women in Neural Engineering (WINE) is a grassroots initiative dedicated to fostering the growth, success, and leadership of women in the field of neural engineering. Founded in 2017 by a small group of pioneering women, WINE was born from a shared recognition that intentional, women-centered support networks are essential to advancing gender equity in science and engineering.
Our vision is to build and sustain robust networks that empower women to thrive and lead in neural engineering.
Our mission is to provide meaningful mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities for women across all stages of their careers. We aim to create spaces where women can connect, collaborate, and support each other—ultimately driving systemic change in the representation and leadership of women in this rapidly growing field.
Your contributions to WINE help us:
• Organize peer-to-peer mentorship forums and career development workshops
• Host networking events and panel discussions that highlight women leaders We believe that when women are supported, the entire field of neural engineering moves forward. Join us in shaping a future where women not only participate in neural engineering, but lead it.
