OneLoop tackles SpaceX and TBC's challenge put on higher education institutions: to build the fastest pod that can run within a vacuum tube. The pod is modeled after the hyperloop – a new form of public transportation that is faster and more sustainable. With the help of our generous donors, our team was in the top 21 teams in the 2019 Hyperloop Pod Competition and was invited to the SpaceX HQ in Hawthorne for the final round. Based on the number of tests passed, OneLoop placed 3rd in the US and top 10 in the world!

Moving forward, we plan to manufacture eddy current brakes in house and acquire a linear induction motor replicating our designs, allowing us to reach incredible speeds safely. Without air resistance or friction from wheels, our pod can theoretically reach speeds of over 700mph. That goal is far off, but room for innovation is here today. With your support, students will learn zero-waste manufacturing processes, computer-based analysis programs, entrepreneurship, and so much more in the pursuit of a renewable future.
