The Noel-Nordfelt Goat Dairy and Creamery is the first full-service, goat dairy and creamery built on a major land-grant university in the nation. This new facility was partially funded through donations from George and Helen Huber of Noel Dairy Goats and Wes and Betty Nordfelt of Laurelwood Acres.
We need your investment to fulfill the promise of this important new teaching and research facility.
The Dairy and Creamery serves as a hub for education where students learn the basics of manufacturing and marketing humane-certified and sustainably-produced goat cheese. The 2,100 square foot building includes a milking parlor, milk room, clean-in-place room and an aged cheese room.
Faculty from the #1 ranked Animal Science department in the nation work alongside students researching goat management, nutrition, welfare, genetics, health and reproduction.
We are training the goat industry leaders of the future and assisting the California goat industry through advanced research. Your gift of any amount will further the hands-on teaching and research that occurs in this special facility. Thank you for your gift!
