We’re forging a new frontier for the Arboretum and Public Garden – a multi-purpose indoor-outdoor space for environmental education programs. Join our community Give Day campaign to Launch the Learning Center.
The Elizabeth Mary Wolf Environmental Learning Center will be located inside the Arboretum Teaching Nursery at the west end of the UC Davis Arboretum, near the School of Veterinary Medicine. An estate gift honoring Elizabeth Mary Wolf is paying for the structure - a modern modular building. Gifts from donors during our Launch the Learning Center Give Day campaign will bring the space to life with furnishings, demonstration plantings and student-led programs.
The Learning Center will benefit thousands of people each year - public visitors, members, community volunteers and students - with increased access to year-round education programs focused on sustainability and the environment. Its main feature will be a spacious multi-purpose room designed with open flow to the Arboretum Teaching Nursery courtyard for educational events, public classes and free family programs created by student environmental interns in our Learning by Leading™ program.
Join other community donors today, in supporting the Arboretum and Public Garden’s new learning center and our mission to help people and environments thrive.
Our Launch the Learning Center campaign begins April 22-23 with UC Davis Give Day and runs through May 5 during the Sacramento Region’s Big Day of Giving.
