Join with us to foster a new half-century of community engagement at Wyatt Deck, a gathering and education hub in the heart of the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden. Since the 1960s, Wyatt Deck’s expansive open deck areas and benches have served everyone in our community as an outdoor gathering place, a nature-based classroom, a spot for special events and simply a peaceful place to rest and experience nature.

It’s time to rebuild Wyatt deck for new generations! Gifts to our “All Welcome on Wyatt Deck” campaign will help update the Wyatt Deck area as a vibrant, safe and accessible center for public, volunteer and student engagement. Be a part of this exciting project!

The university is investing significant funds this year to replace the deteriorating wood decks at Wyatt Deck with new decks in an accessible design. Donations from generous donors like you to the “All Welcome on Wyatt Deck” community campaign will bring the updated Wyatt Deck to life. Community gifts will fund visitor-friendly features such as a new orientation kiosk and new demonstration plantings around the reconstructed Wyatt Deck and will also support free student-led public education programs at Wyatt Deck.

The updated Wyatt Deck area will benefit thousands of people each year - public visitors, members, community volunteers and students - with improved visitor access to year-round education programs focused on sustainability and the environment.

Join other community donors in supporting the Arboretum and Public Garden’s campaign to renovate the Wyatt Deck area to support our mission to help people and environments thrive. Our All Welcome on Wyatt Deck campaign begins April 16-17 with UC Davis Give Day and runs through May 6 during the Sacramento Region’s Big Day of Giving.

You can give right now to the Arboretum and Public Garden's All Welcome on Wyatt Deck campaign using the DONATE button above. Thank you!
