Thank you to everyone who contributed to our “Nurture the Nursery” campaign from April 14-May 4, 2023 to help grow the impact of the Arboretum Teaching Nursery! We are very grateful to the hundreds of donors who gave to this special spring campaign. Although the campaign officially ended, you can help support our work to promote environmental sustainability through a gift at any time to the Arboretum Teaching Nursery fund.

The Arboretum Teaching Nursery is already a beloved community resource for program engagement and public environmental education, a center for home gardening inspiration about sustainable horticulture and a training facility for student interns in the Arboretum and Public Garden’s innovative environmental leadership program — Learning by Leading™️.

As home to the Elizabeth Mary Wolf Environmental Learning Center and the host site for popular plant sale events which attract thousands of home gardening enthusiasts from the region, the Arboretum Teaching Nursery is at the heart of our mission to help people and environments thrive.

Your gift will help transform the Arboretum Teaching Nursery into an even more inspiring environment with support for wonderful enhancements like these:

  • Improved visitor signage and accessible pathways inside the Teaching Nursery
  • Support for our student Learning by Leading™️ environmental interns
  • Expanded demonstration gardens with a greater focus on climate-ready gardening

By nurturing the Arboretum Teaching Nursery and the people who work there, donors catalyze our work to engage, empower and educate people of our community to create more resilient gardens and a healthier environment for everyone. Thank you!
