Water Use Classifications of Landscape Species (WUCOLS), a project spearheaded by the UC Davis California Center for Urban Horticulture (CCUH). WUCOLS can be accessed and used to create “low water use” plant lists for cities or climate zones and is a vital guide for professional landscapes and the public.
With the assistance of Saxon Photography's generous match donation for UC Davis’ Give Day 2022, the CCUH was able to raise over $12,000 to help kick off a funding raising drive for the next review and update of WUCOLS IV. WUCOLS was last updated in 2014 and your gift will support provide the opportunity to add new water conserving plants to expand the current 3,500 plant database. Please join us in the effort to help conserve California’s precious water resources now and for generations to come by supporting the WUCOLS Initiative.
