Professor Kentaro Inoue, a faculty member in the Department of Plant Sciences, is being memorialized through donations to a memorial scholarship fund. Dr. Inoue is a native of Japan, having received his BS, MS and PhD, all in pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Tokyo. Dr. Inoue joined UC Davis in 2002 as an assistant professor in agricultural plant biology. Since then, he has made a lasting impression on his colleagues and his students. He is described as an "outstanding scientist and a well-like faculty member... He was always positive and friendly and will be missed both for his research and his personality."
