The Filipinx Graduation Celebration Ceremony (FilGrad) is an annual celebration honoring the personal and academic achievements of graduating students — both undergraduate and graduate — who identify as Filipinx American or are friends of the FilAm community. Fil-Grad differs from the UC Davis Commencement ceremonies held at the Golden 1 Center by providing an intimate, personal environment that fully embraces the significance of each graduating student's experience.
This graduation is coordinated and designed by Fil-Am student leaders in the community. Each year, our student coordinators coordinate and plan the celebration ceremony with support from the Student Recruitment & Retention Center's BRIDGE: Pilipinx Outreach and Retention program.
Your gift to the Filipinx Graduation will help us: - Bring community keynote speakers to celebrate with our seniors - Ensure that seniors receive culturally relevant stoles and other celebratory items (e.g. senior gifts, yearbook) - Assist with general programming costs (e.g. venue fees, food for volunteers/participants, workshop materials)
