The California Civic Engagement Project (CCEP) is a civic engagement research and outreach initiative for the state of California. The CCEP is dedicated to providing data and analysis to inform the public dialogue on representative governance in California. Inclusive and effective civic engagement is critical to overcoming disparities in social and economic well-being, including outcomes in education, health and employment. The CCEP produces pioneering research to identify disparities in civic participation across the state. Our research informs and empowers a wide range of policy and organizing efforts in California aimed at providing opportunity and well-being to all residents.
The CCEP has become a go-to source for electoral and civic engagement research. Legislators, public agencies, advocates, researchers, media and community leaders use our pioneering research to track disparities and opportunities in civic participation by place and population. The CCEP partners with non-partisan civic engagement organizations to increase political participation among underrepresented groups and young voters.
Please consider joining our new CCEP Donor Circle. Your membership will help the CCEP’s work toward an inclusive civic and political landscape in California. CCEP Donor Circle members receive: opportunities to participate in periodic phone briefings with CCEP Director Mindy Romero and senior staff, invitations to special events; copies of new CCEP reports and publications; and recognition in CCEP’s website and new annual report (beginning in 2017).
