The over 50 faculty at the UC Davis Center for Population Biology (CPB) strive to advance our understanding of diversity in biological systems through ecological and evolutionary research. This challenge has taken on a new sense of urgency given the threats to this diversity from human activities such as habitat alteration, climate change, and overharvesting of wild populations. The center includes the nationally ranked Population Biology Graduate Group, which offers a doctoral degree in population biology, and a prestigious CPB postdoctoral fellowship program.
