BioInnovation Laboratory Student Ventures Support

Your gift to this discretionary fund supports a diverse set of hands-on creative student activities and courses in the BioInnovation Laboratory (BIL) under the direction of Prof. Marc Facciotti. BIL is a unique facility that enables a wide variety of responsible, creative and entrepreneurial activities in the broad area of biotechnology. These include novel hands-on and cross-disciplinary courses, hands-on experiences for freshmen, independent student-derived and driven projects, student club projects, senior design projects, and support for student entrepreneurs. BIL provides a place, equipment, mentorship, professional connections and a community to enable UC Davis students to build on their own ideas and to develop life-long and marketable skills that will enable them to become the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in our growing bioeconomy.
