John R. Roth Undergraduate Research Award

Established with an initial gift of $2,500 by Professor and Chair Wolf-Dietrich Heyer, the purpose of the fund is to honor Professor Emeritus John R. Roth from the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics for this career, service and contributions to UC Davis. The fund will serve to support one or more undergraduate research awards in the department to those majoring in Microbiology. The fund will be used for 2019 Give Day with the intention of building the fund an endowment size of $50,000. If total raised does not reach $50,000 by June 30, 2023, the amount raised will provide immediate undergrad research support.
