The goal of research in the Zito Lab is to identify molecules that are active in the brain during learning and to uncover how they are altered in disease. Ultimately, we hope to improve learning for those with challenges due to disease or natural aging. Students in the Zito lab gain valuable hands-on research experience that makes them highly competitive for acceptance into higher education degree programs and science-related careers. However, many students face financial hardships that make them choose a paying job over research experience. Please join us in supporting students in need who dream of having a career in science.
