The Super Fritz & Friends Fund was established at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in Sacramento to help facilitate a new position (Resource Specialist) within their Pediatric Hematology Oncology division. The fund was inspired by the care of a patient, Fritz Stark (age 3 at time of diagnosis). Seeing how families struggle to navigate their lives after a child is diagnosed with cancer is heartbreaking.
The purpose of the Fund is to establish a pediatric hematology/oncology resource which will provide assistance to families with obtaining support services both during treatment and after discharge. Expenses may include but are not limited to direct patient assistance, gas cards, meals, housing, or salary and benefits for a staff/resource specialist position.
Our Resource Specialist will focus on guiding & assisting families from the time a child is diagnosed through their cancer journey. When a family has concerns, questions and/or needs, the Resource Specialist will be available to help. Join us by donating to support families fighting pediatric cancer.
If you are interested in donating by check, please make the check payable to UC Davis Foundation and use the address below. Thank you so much for your support of this important initiative to bring hope to our families impacted by pediatric cancer.
