Jonathan Wesley Riess, M.D., M.S. is the Professor, Division of Hematology Oncology and Medical Director of Thoracic Oncology at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. Your donation to this fund will support thoracic oncology research goals like:
Personalize lung cancer treatment by precisely targeting vulnerabilities in lung cancer to bring better treatments to our patients as we strive to cure lung cancer.
Dr. Riess’ current research is focused on integrating translational research and bringing that research into the clinic to precisely target lung cancer with targeted therapies and immunotherapies. This often involves collaborating with our lab researchers at UC Davis and other institutions to bring exciting discoveries in lung cancer to our patients.
Develop better ways to use immunotherapy and targeted therapies to treat lung cancer, which has led to several clinical trials at UC Davis.
Philanthropic funding helps offset the increased cost of research. Donations help investigators gather the preliminary data necessary to be competitive in receiving long-term National Institute of Health grant funding. With your generosity, we are changing the way lung cancer patients are treated in the US and internationally. Thank you for your continued donation and consideration to support our important work.
