Gifts to the Center for Shakespeare in Diverse Classrooms support teacher professional development programs for our School of Education students and practicing teachers in our community. The Center empowers these language arts and social studies teachers with research-tested, innovative practices that help unlock the power Shakespeare’s timeless literature and other complex texts for all types of K-12 learners. In partnership with Shakespeare’s Globe and Globe Education in London, the Center’s techniques benefit educators throughout their careers – from their teaching credential year through ongoing professional development workshops – and benefit the thousands of students they touch along the way.
