The Environmental Justice Project is a part of the One Climate Initiative’s vision for equitable, collectively formed and economically viable climate solutions. Building partnerships with Native and Indigenous people and nations, local governments, disadvantaged communities, industry leaders, and multidisciplinary researchers, the Environmental Justice Project will inform public policy, support community empowerment, and prepare undergraduate and graduate students to be the next generation of environmental justice leaders.

Our community-based, participatory approach prepares undergraduate and graduate students in STEM and humanities disciplines to conduct research engaged with issues of environmental justice—such as air quality and its health impacts, Indigenous-led ecosystem restoration, and sustainable water management.
