Support Students In Need

The Student Emergency Relief Aid (SERA) award was conceived to help students stay on track for academic success by providing a one-time emergency grant up to $2,000 to cover medical bills, eviction notices, tuition, and other essential costs not covered by financial aid or other programs.

Established in 2011, the UC Davis Student Foundation, formerly known as We Are Aggie Pride, is student run, and includes an executive committee and trustees serving in various rolls along with a staff advisor. To date the program has raised over $375,000 to help over 350 students facing financial emergencies. Applicants go through a financial screening process to determine whether or not they meet the criteria for funding and if there are other options available.
