The Ocean Climate Lab at UC Davis explores how climate change affects marine ecosystems in the past, present, and future, and how this connects to us as humans. We investigate how ocean acidification and climate change shape coastal environments, using oceanographic studies, big data, and geospatial tools. From seagrass beds to aquaculture farms, our work helps uncover how coastal habitats can store carbon and buffer environmental change. We also look to the past, using fossils and sediment records to understand how marine ecosystems responded to previous climate shifts. This helps inform conservation strategies today for key species along our coast.
Your support advances science that protects our coasts, communities, and climate future. Your donations towards this fund will support student (undergraduate and graduate) research, internships, and experiences.
