GSM Graduate Business Award for Former Student-Athletes

The purpose of the GSM Graduate Business Award for Former Student-Athletes is to provide support to recruit one or more students who are former student-athletes and are now pursuing a graduate business degree at the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis.

The preference for the award is for the following, in this order:

1. An incoming student who is a former UC Davis intercollegiate athlete

2. An incoming student who is a former intercollegiate athlete who participated in intercollegiate athletics at another college or university

3. An incoming student who played in a sports club team(s) while an undergraduate, whether at UC Davis or another college or university

4. If there are no applicants who fit criteria 1-3, the award may be given to a current GSM student who fits any of the above criteria

5. If, in any given year, there are no qualified incoming or current student applicants, the award will roll to the next academic year

NOTE: The goal is to reach $50,000 by Dec. 31st, 2026, establishing an endowment to provide support for students who meet the criteria mentioned above in perpetuity. If we are unable to reach this goal, your donation will provide immediate support for this student award as a current use scholarship, to be spent as an annual student award until all funds have been expended.
