Donate to this fund

The fund is named after Bassem Mansour, a young man who received treatment at UC Davis Health for cancer at a very early age and a life threatening severe road accident as a teenager. His life was saved and his leg bones were reconstructed through several surgeries and treatments at UC Davis Health. In spite of still being in a wheelchair, Bassem is drumming, practicing adaptive skiing and enjoying his life with his family. The time he spent recovering at the UC Davis Medical Center, with the extraordinary care and support he received from physicians, care givers, staff, and Child Life program has inspired him to raise funds to help other young patients heal and cope with illness, injury, treatment and the overall health care experience. The purpose of this fund is to provide general program support to the Child Life and Creative Arts Department at UC Davis Medical Center. This support can include, but is not limited to covering expenses associated with providing arts, music and creative therapeutic activities.
