Recognizing that groundbreaking science relies on interdisciplinary collaboration, our research initiatives create innovative approaches to patient care by bringing together medicine, science, and technology. Together with biologists, engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists and along with the UC Davis philosophy of “transforming patient care through bold innovation,” we create novel solutions to address the complex issues we face in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. We provide personalized treatments for heart failure, as well as system-wide interventions to address root causes. In addition, it is our mission to train the next generation of interdisciplinary researchers committed to advancing heart failure.
