The UC Davis Law Review hosts an annual symposium, bringing top experts in diverse legal fields to the UC Davis School of Law.
Our Fall 2018 symposium is entitled "Bakke at 40: Diversity, Difference, and Doctrine." It explores the forty year legacy of the monumental decision Regents of the University of California v. Bakke. This case arose arose out of our very own University of California, Davis, and greatly contributed to reshaping admission practices at universities across the United States.
Our symposium will examine the history of Bakke, the present challenges institutions and states face regarding diversity, and future avenues to promote racial equity.
We thank you for your kind contribution to our symposium.
