Violence Prevention Research Program

Violence is a major health and social problem with profound effects in the United States and worldwide; far too little is known about the causes, consequences, and prevention of violence. It disproportionately affects members of under-represented minorities and marginalized populations. In heavily-impacted communities, the basic rhythms of daily life are contorted as residents seek to minimize their risk of victimization. We use science to find solutions to violence.
