The UC Davis MIND Institute’s Family Navigator Program, offered in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, provides no-cost, peer-to-peer support for families of individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This includes virtual parent support groups, the “Get Mindful” stress-management series, and targeted groups like the Parents of Adult Children and Teens (PACT) and the Spanish-language Padres para-Padres series. The Sankofa group offers culturally relevant support for Black families, while in-person and virtual sibling groups provide a space for children to connect and learn. Additional services include free developmental screenings, monthly resource fairs, and partnerships with organizations such as WarmLine and the Family Resource Centers Network of California, which offer region-wide support, resources, and training for families of children with disabilities.
