Burden of Heart Failure: Approximately 6 million Americans have heart failure. Heart failure is responsible for a large burden of death, disability, and diminished quality of life. The number of individuals with heart failure is expected to increase significantly in the next decade.
Purpose: To launch the UC Davis Heart Failure Center Fund to support the development of the UC Davis Health, Heart Failure Center (HFC).
HFC Vision: The HFC will be a national leader in the areas of prevention, treatment, teaching, and research related to heart failure. The mission of the HFC will be to improve health and well-being for patients with heart failure and their communities.
