Byron Demorest Pediatric Ophthalmology Fund

The UC Davis Eye Center is one of the only ophthalmology departments in the region that accepts pediatric ophthalmology patients covered under Medi-Cal. This fund, created to honor the legacy and memory of Byron Demorest, one of the department’s founders, supports our three pediatric ophthalmologists, research, and new programs for the pediatric ophthalmology service. This support allows the department to continue to fulfill its commitment to treat our pediatric ophthalmology patients regardless of ability to pay for the services needed, and recognize extraordinary excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
