James Ruben M.D. Memorial Fund in Pediatric Ophthalmology

Your generous donation in memory of Dr. James Ruben will support Pediatric Ophthalmology at the UC Davis Eye Center. A beloved clinician, teacher, researcher, and advocate, Dr. Ruben worked tirelessly on behalf of his patients to ensure each child had access to the best vision care available. His steadfast dedication to pediatric patients also took him to the legislative arena, where he worked with the state of California and at the national level to establish evidence-based best practices for pediatric vision screening. He was also a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member at the UC Davis Eye Center. He will be remembered for the innumerable impacts he had on this field and on the lives of the patients and families he served throughout his career.
