The Undergraduate Public Health Scholars program provides a mentored summer research experience in public health sciences, with an emphasis on systemic health inequalities. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the many types of research activities conducted by faculty within the Department of Public Health Sciences, from epidemiology of health disparities to environmental health and health policy. This fund provides general support for the program, including our current priorities of helping to support the travel costs for students to present and attend research conferences, obtain professional attire, purchase supplies for student research, and increase the program's ability to accept additional scholars each year.
