As Iranian Americans, we believe it is important to promote the study of Iran and Persia, one of the world’s oldest civilizations. We wish to share the rich linguistic, literary, artistic, architectural, and historical heritage of Iranian and other Persianate cultures. Yet there is so much more to study from agricultural practices to water management to economics to politics and religion. The Tehrani Family Fund will provide broad support for Iran and Persian studies within the Middle East/South Asian Studies Program (ME/SA) in order to promote the teaching, learning and research about Iran and Persia.
