The UC Davis Staff Emergency Fund aids staff employees in times of personal hardship. Assistance is provided to a staff employee whose income cannot cover their needs, or the staff employee has experienced a loss of wages through no fault of their own, and the grants help to cover expenses such as housing, utilities, food, or transportation. Financial assistance can also be provided when employees with limited resources are faced with a personal loss of a family member, medical expenses, or change in a family situation.
Career and contract staff employees can submit requests via a confidential application, which is reviewed by an eligibility committee. No-strings-attached grants of up to $1,000 will be issued to help meet the staff member's needs. Although COVID-19 is the impetus for the fund, UC Davis knows that personal hardships can occur at any time and the fund will continue past this immediate crisis. By supporting this fund, you are helping to support our UC Davis staff employees during times of personal hardship. Thank you for your support.
