The Safety Initiative Fund aims to raise funds to support our efforts ensuring student, faculty, and staff safety on campus. As our students navigate their education, our staff move through their careers, and as faculty teach and research for a brighter future, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for all to succeed. From initiatives like Safe Rides, the Blue Light Safety Corridor, the Community Outreach and Engagement (CORE) program, to future improvements and community suggested safety measures, we work to maintain the most cutting-edge safety and security measures available. With your support we can improve community outreach, increase availability and awareness of our Safe Rides program, strengthen our Community Safety Specialist (CSS) and Protective Service Specialist (PSS) programs, and implement a broad range of increased community safety measures. Funds raised by this initiative will not be used for base-budget department expenses. Your donations are critical in giving the UC Davis Police Department the resources needed to provide essential equipment and state-of-the-art technology, specialized training, and innovative programs that directly impact the department's ability to protect and serve our community at the highest level possible.
