The UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) seeks support for the Arthur H. Rosenfeld Chair in Energy Efficiency. The chair honors Art Rosenfeld’s public service. Art’s ground-breaking leadership established the field of energy efficiency for the benefit of California and beyond. His public service has included, in part, work for the U.S. Department of Energy; two five-year terms on the California Energy Commission; service on the California Clean Energy Fund board; and service as a founding EEC board member. Art was pivotal in advancing energy efficiency technologies and bringing energy efficiency to the forefront of State and national energy and environmental policy.
The Arthur H. Rosenfeld Chair in Energy Efficiency recognizes and supports an exceptional member of the energy efficiency faculty at UC Davis. The chair further promotes the EEC’s mission to accelerate the commercialization of energy efficiency technologies, train future leaders in energy efficiency, and conduct critical policy-supporting research. The chair recognizes in perpetuity Art’s unmatched contributions to the field and brings great prestige to the area of academic study he championed. The Rosenfeld Chair is currently held by Dr. Michael Siminovitch.
