The library's archives and special collections provide a unique window into history, society, and scholarship through a treasure trove of rare books, faculty papers, correspondence, photographs, and audiovisual recordings.

When you support the Library Archival Processing Fund, you help unearth those treasures so they can be discovered and used by students and researchers at UC Davis and beyond. During processing, library specialists transfer these rare, often fragile items into acid-free boxes, mylar sleeves or other protective storage; arrange the materials for use by researchers; and catalog them in online collection guides so researchers can find them. This fund will also help the library process and catalog digital materials, such as PDF documents, email, digital photographs, and video files.

Help ensure that these one-of-a-kind materials — which cover topics from food and wine to the histories of underrepresented groups in California, filling in historical gaps and bringing untold stories to light — can be found and used by students, researchers and historians, today and for generations to come.
