Support the José Domingo Nuñez, DVM ’21 Memorial Scholarship, which will support a deserving Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) student with proven financial need. This fund is building towards endowment. If we are unable to raise $50,000 by December 2029, the fund will be used to support the immediate needs of our students.
The D.V.M. Class of 2021 is coming together to honor the memory of José Domingo Nuñez. José was a UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine class of 2021 graduate, who throughout his training, exemplified the characteristics necessary to become an astute veterinarian. He was kind, compassionate, and able to bring a smile to all those around him. In his brief career as a small animal veterinarian, unfortunately, cut short by a valiant year-and-a-half fight with cancer, he was able to provide a meaningful impact to both his clinical patients and their owners. He will be remembered not only for his skills as a clinician, but also his warm, welcoming personality and fun-natured spirit. He is greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to know him.
