The purpose of the Award, which was endowed in late 2021, is to assist School of Veterinary Medicine students, with a preference for the physically disabled, who have persisted through adverse life experiences to pursue their dream of a career in veterinary medicine as did Dr. Sloan, the first deaf graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
