This fund pays for the surgical treatment of broken bones in dogs and cats who are under the care of animal shelters and rescue groups, in partnership with the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. All surgeries are done at UC Davis, by board certified veterinary surgeons with their residents, using state of the art equipment and techniques. There is no charge for this service to the shelters or rescue organizations. The animals are returned to their care providers more suitable for permanent adoption.
