What We Do
The One Health Institute Laboratory (OHIL) operates as a service facility for the Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Network, a system of coordinators that respond to reports of stranded marine mammals. The Lab is also the central research facility for the PREDICT project, which aims to halt emerging diseases with pandemic potential. The lab accepts samples for diagnostic testing in support of wildlife biologists, marine animal scientists, and marine animal clinicians.
How You Can Help
Donations help us keep laboratory costs low for the non-profit organizations that the Marine Mammal Stranding Network comprises. Your generosity allows us to better support their facilities during morbidity and mortality events, assisting in the survival of beached marine mammals.
