At the California National Primate Research Center, the Future of Biomedicine Training Program is preparing the next generation of scientists, physicians, and innovators to tackle the world’s most complex health challenges. Born out of the pandemic’s disruption to hands-on STEM training, this program redefines how undergraduates learn to think critically and work collaboratively on real-world biomedical problems.
Through a unique blend of active learning sessions and research internships in CNPRC’s pioneering laboratories, students gain the skills and experience necessary to address issues like Alzheimer’s disease, environmental pollution, mental health, and aging. The program empowers students not just to study science, but to do science, engaging directly with the challenges shaping the future of human and animal health.
Your gift to the Future of Biomedicine Fund directly supports these students and the laboratories that mentor them. Because the program is offered free of charge, philanthropy makes it possible to expand access, train more students, and sustain research internships that transform lives and careers. Together, we can ensure that tomorrow’s biomedical leaders are ready to meet the challenges ahead with the knowledge, curiosity, and compassion to improve health for all.
