Join the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden in preserving our campus’s signature trees – the mighty oaks – and protecting them for future generations.
Oaks frame our campus’s most iconic locations including the Quad, Memorial Union, entryways and more, providing beauty, shade and vital habitat for wildlife. The UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden is home to one of the largest and most diverse oak collections in the country used for teaching and research. Massive heritage valley oaks line the Arboretum Waterway, and over 300 evergreen and deciduous oak trees grow in the 10-acre Peter J. Shields Oak Grove, at the west end of the Arboretum.
With the growing threat of climate change, we are being proactive about conserving UC Davis oaks. Your gift will help us: train student environmental leaders to care for our precious mature oaks; propagate and plant new oaks well-adapted to future climate pressures; and create student-led oak education events to share the riches of UC Davis Oaks with the public.
Thank you to everyone who already contributed to support oaks during our UC Davis Oaks Forever! spring Give Day campaign in 2019.
You can give right now to the help preserve oaks on campus using the DONATE button above. Together, we can guarantee a healthy and beautiful tree canopy across campus for generations to come.
