For most students, studying at UC Davis is the opportunity of a lifetime. Their talent undeniable. Ninety-five percent graduate in the top 10 percent of their high school class with an average GPA of 3.7. Our challenge is to provide the opportunity for these talented students to develop their full potential, potential that can be strained by financial pressures.

By the time they graduate, more than half of Davis’ graduating seniors will take out loans and 58 percent will leave with an average debt load of $19,970. While this is significantly better than the nationwide average of $28,400, we aspire to provide greater financial support to position our students for personal success and prosperity when they graduate.

We accept the challenge to be creative, innovative, and collaborative in meeting the needs of our increasingly diverse student population. However, we need the support of our alumni, family, and friends to help to provide support through volunteerism, gifts and endowments.

Please review the multiple ways in which your gift can make a difference—from helping a student in financial need to providing a safe and accepting university environment.
