Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies

The Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies is an initiative led by faculty and students at UC Davis School of Law to honor the life and work of the late Professor Keith Aoki. He contributed to scholarship in many fields, especially in critical theory, race, and immigration issues. The Aoki Center carries on Professor Aoki's legacy through faculty scholarship in these areas and by encouraging students to develop their interests in critical theory.

California Environmental Law & Policy Center

The California Environmental Law & Policy Center is a research and policy center located within UC Davis School of Law. Created in 2010, the Center is dedicated to cutting-edge environmental, scholarship, and academic initiatives and committed to translating these efforts into effective and timely public policy.

Center for Business Law and Society

UC Davis School of Law is excited to announce the launch of the Center for Business Law and Society to serve as a hub for faculty, students, alumni, key practitioners, and policy makers. The Center will attract leading experts to speak at King Hall while also providing networking and mentorship opportunities for students, workshops for scholars, and continuing legal education (CLE) for practitioners. As a valuable resource for both the law school and the broader legal and business community, the Center will both contribute to and capitalize on California’s position as a global business leader.

Center for International Law and Policy

UC Davis School of Law has a tradition of engagement in matters of global consequence. Continuing that tradition is the Center for International Law and Policy at King Hall. The Center fosters the work of faculty, students, and alumni in international, comparative, and transnational law, and in so doing, enhances California’s role as a global actor.

Center for Innovation, Law, and Society

The Center for Innovation, Law, and Society (CILS) seeks to explore the legal and social implications of innovation, science, and technology. The center builds upon the work of UC Davis School of Law faculty members examining numerous fields at the intersection of law and innovation, including artificial intelligence, bioethics, data privacy, environmental law, health law, intellectual property, and social media. The center hosts leading speakers who share their insights on the opportunities and challenges of new innovations and the role of law in shaping their development and operation.
