With hemodialysis, the UCVMC-SD’s clinicians can treat life-threatening acute kidney failure—as seen with antifreeze poisoning—and manage long-term renal conditions. Kidney dialysis services have been available for dogs and cats since 2002. The service meets a regional need for hemodialysis and intensive renal care demands. Nephrology and urology expertise for less critical conditions is also available. The service also supports a unique fellowship program at the center to expand advanced training in this growing discipline.
With cardiology, our goal is to diagnose, treat and prevent cardiac diseases, by providing an advanced standard of veterinary care for the needs of our patients, clients, and the veterinary community. We currently offer cardiology services in two San Diego area locations – our main facility at 10435 Sorrento Valley Road in San Diego and our newest location at 2055 Montiel Road in San Marcos. Please see our Contact Page for more information.
