The Toxicology Mentoring and Skills Development (ToxMSDT) Program Fund will provide student support funds to aid students enrolled in the program.

The Toxicology Mentoring and Skills Development Training Program (ToxMSDT) is a 5-year program funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) providing career development opportunities for STEM undergraduate students from diverse underserved backgrounds. The goal of the program is to build a pathway for students from underserved communities to enter graduate toxicology programs and eventually choose toxicology as a career.

ToxMSDT is a unique mentoring and skills development training program hosted by the University of California, Davis. Other members of the consortium are The Society of Toxicology, Iowa State University, Tuskegee University, the Ohio State University, and Michigan State University. Students are recruited nationally. Another unique future of the program is that each student mentee is matched 1:1 with volunteer mentors from industry, government, and nonprofit entities from across the country.
